Overview: We have a great opportunity for an HIM Manager! We're looking for professionals with a passion for coding, attention to detail, and with excellent communication skills. The HIM Manager/Coder is part of the hospital’s leadership team, working closely with CEO and Clinical Director’s. At Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest, our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 8 years and has earned The Joint Commission’s Stroke Certification and Amputee Certification. At our 30-bed hospital, we provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients, serving Idaho and surrounding states. We see patients who often are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. Successful candidates will enjoy working both independently and collaborating with a team of clinical professionals. Key responsibilities include: Provide expertise in the areas of coding and classification systems to healthcare providers throughout our hospital, and help drive improvements of reimbursement, and the revenue cycle. Responsible for timely coding charts in accordance with the current principles of ICD-10 and AHA coding guidelines. Supports the Health Information Services Department through a variety of clerical, technical, and related support services. Performs other daily duties within the Health Information Management Services department as assigned. Supervises and evaluates the performance of HIM department personnel. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience preferred. Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines CPC, CCS, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA certification via AHIMA or AAPC Why should you apply?
