This is what has driven our teams since 1833.Since that time, we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at over 300 locations in 65 countries, across 6 continents.But at the heart of our business is our people.Role PurposeThis role is responsible for managing multiple shop employees (10-15 mechanics) , scheduling all maintenance services, parts ordering and acquisition, and compliance with all airport and DOT regulations and in accordance with Menzies Aviation policies and procedures. The GSE Duty Manager is also responsible for all repair and maintenance actions that occur during other shifts.The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.What You Will Be DoingPlans, organizes, and directs the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipmentResponsible for the establishment of performance standards for each phase of workResponsible for the adherence to standard practices and quality specifications for all work performedEstablish a program for the acquisition, storage, and accountability of all parts, materials, tools, and equipmentDetailed record keeping of all fleet vehiclesMake regular inspections of the condition of all equipment and systems. Report findings, and the actions required correcting any deficienciesPerform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual limitations or as required by the AdministrationMust have the ability to remotely diagnosis vehicle problems and quickly problem solveDevelop and oversee an effective work safety programOther duties as assigned by your managerSafety, Security, Wellbeing And ComplianceYou will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
