Oversee daily operations at our store, supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store. Answers questions, provides information as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist customers at counterProvide customer information, accurately fill orders, and provide excellent customer serviceData entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, and inventory informationContinuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory, applicability, and location of product in warehouseEffectively communicate relevant company/store policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, etc.Safely load and unload trucks (as needed)Accurately check in and store material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Report any material back orders and/or material discrepanciesPerform inventory cycle counts and assist in year-end physical inventoriesDevelop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.Maintain appearance of warehouse as needed by continuous re-stocking, straightening, and cleaningPerform material handling equipment safety inspections as requiredPerform all duties in a safe mannerInform manager of any potentially hazardous conditionsHire, train, and oversee new staff.RequirementsValid drivers’ license2+ years warehouse management experience2+ years flooring experienceExcellent understanding of warehouse management procedureProficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controlsAbility to operate forklift effectivelyOutstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsAvailable to work extended hoursAbilities And Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, carry, or reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift to 25 lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift 50 lbs. The employee must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
