Job Description Join our Team!SummaryAs a Houseperson/Houseman, you will be integral to maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and overall presentation. Reporting to the housekeeping management, your core responsibilities will include floor care and general cleaning tasks to ensure a welcoming environment for guests. Your hotel experience and hospitality skills will enhance guest satisfaction, while your relevant janitorial and custodial expertise will support efficient operations. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with proficiency in English, to communicate and collaborate with the team effectively. Join us in creating a memorable stay for our guests.Essential Functions:Maintain assigned public areas and restrooms while meeting the hotel's standards of cleanlinessClean public areas & office spacesPush and pull a vacuum throughout designated areas of the propertyTake out garbage for pickup service as well as monitor and control a comprehensive hotel recycling program.Reporting any maintenance deficiencies,Collection, distribution, and restocking of linen and terry itemsRemoving solid linenTrash disposal from carts and other assigned areasHandling of guest requests and complaintsMaintain guest confidence, privacy, and security of guests, guests' rooms, and their belongingsDeep Clean all assigned rooms and bathroomsReplaces all amenities and linens according to hotel standardsKeeps carts and linen closets clean and orderlyProvide both set-up/breakdown service of the meeting spaceReports irregularities or suspicious circumstances on the guest floorsNotifies Manager of discrepancies such as vacant rooms, etc.Turns in lost and found items as per department standardUses equipment and supplies in an appropriate and professional mannerReplaces light bulbs according to hotel standardsCompletes special cleaning projectsGreets guests in a friendly and courteous mannerSatisfies guest requests for information and serviceReports items of great value left unsecured in hallways and guest roomsAll other miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned and deemed appropriate by managementAbility to lift 50lbsMust be able to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift 50lbsQualifications:Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers, and management to their understandingAbility to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimal supervisionPunctuality and regular and reliable attendanceInterpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the publicPrior guest relations trainingKnowledge of proper equipment usageEducationHigh school graduate or equivalent vocational trainingBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceShift:Day shiftNight shiftWork Location: In person
