You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team that thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where your work directly advances a constellation that millions will depend on.Your Mission on the Team:You will play a pivotal role in advancing a novel approach to LEO broadband satellite communications, directly working on software development for cutting-edge satellite communications payload technology for the Meridian satellite constellation. As part of a small team tackling ambitious challenges, you'll take full ownership of the end-to-end success of your software - driving every aspect of development, from architecture design to fully integrated, space-ready systems.Basic Qualifications:A Bachelor's, or a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience developing embedded software for space-based systemsExperience with development for ARM devicesProficiency in C/C++/Rust for embedded software developmentFamiliarity with common spacecraft communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.)Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems (e.g., JTAG, GDB, logic analyzers)Ability to read and understand hardware schematics and datasheets relevant to embedded systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environmentPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience with a Master's or Ph.D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field with focus on embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and/or fault-tolerant software designExperience with FPGAs or ASICs and developing software that interfaces with custom hardware acceleratorsFamiliarity with space communication standards (e.g., CSP and CCSDS) and ground segment interface protocolsExperience with Python for scripting, test automation, or data analysis related to payload performanceExperience with flight software development best practices, including fault tolerance, redundancy, and error handlingITAR RequirementsSpinLaunch is required by the U.S. Government to comply with various space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
