Coesia has 141 operating units in 35 countries, a turnover of about 1.9 billion euros and over 8,000 employees.Role DescriptionThe Senior Electrical Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Maple Grove, MN. Operate in a fast paced, innovative environment in the assembly and testing of primary and secondary, high-speed packaging machinery. Assemble components, module assemblies, debug, and test machinery while meeting or exceeding the projects quality, cost, and schedule objectives.ResponsibilitiesBuild Sub-Assemblies and assemble machines using documentation such as SolidWorks models of Mechanical Parts and Assembly Drawings, Pneumatic Diagrams, and/or Electrical Schematics.Start leading, Powerup machines, verify I/O and basic functionality.Start leading, Debug Machines and collaborate with team members to correct problems and verify appropriate functionality.Setup and adjust parameters in electrical components, basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits.Install and Integrate basic OEM equipment and collaborate with other team members to ensure functionality.Partner with Engineering to identify and implement technical solutions.Collaborate with team members to create and update project documentation.Own Panel Layout and Wiring processLeading Electrical layout and PlanningLeading Efficient Machine AssemblyTesting and tear down (shipping prep) of the electrical components of the packaging machinery.Know and understand safety circuits and application of knowledge to the machine assemblyPart fabrication and modification.Verify fit and function of parts as well as completion and function of assemblies.Use of equipment such as: hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, grinding/sanding/polishing tools, lathes, mills, hydraulic press, drill press, and fork trucks.Maintain safe and organized work area.Inspect own work.Support to continually improve work processes.Clear communication and teamwork with peers.Support and promote company values through words, actions, and gestures.Direct customer interactions and support.Travel to customer sites for equipment installations, troubleshooting, support, and training activities (up to 20%).Qualifications2 year technical degree or equivalent experience.3-5 years of electrical assembly experience – both of high and low-voltage electrical experienceShop math and blueprint reading skills - 3. Proficient comprehension of AutoCAD Electrical documents.Familiarity with requirements of electrical machinery relating to:General electrical knowledgePanel drawingsPneumatic diagramsComputer skills.Experience with automation including mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, and robotic systemsPhysical DemandsLift weight up to 50 pounds.Frequent walking, bending, reaching, twisting and squatting.Continuous standing, carrying, and grasping.Capable of performing repetitive tasks.Good manual dexterity, eyesight, and hearing abilitiesRegularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel: talk and hear. Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lifts up to 10 to 60 pounds. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual base pay range is between $30-39/hour + travel pay + additional onsite installation pay ranging from an additional $2,000-$15,000 based on amount of travel.
