The candidate selected for this opportunity should be able to report into one of the following North American Claims offices: Atlanta, GA; Schaumburg, IL; Addison, TX; or Omaha, NE.Zurich North America is seeking a motivated individual to advance their claims career as part of our Commercial Auto team.As an Auto Claims Specialist, you will work alongside a diverse group of experienced claims professionals, enhancing your development while honing technical expertise in auto policy interpretation and coverage analysis. In this role, you will manage non-litigated claims related to auto physical damage, bodily injury, and third-party property damage within multi-party commercial claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity. You will operate within defined authority limits and established protocols, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and effectively while delivering exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, suppliers, and brokers, to provide a quality claims experience.Apply knowledge of established protocols and industry best practices to resolve claims effectively.Deliver customer-centric service while managing claims within defined authority limits.Develop expertise in coverage analysis and auto policy interpretation.Work Location:This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires the selected candidate to be based at one of the following office locations: Atlanta, GA; Schaumburg, IL; Addison, TX; or Omaha, NE.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or InsuranceORCompletion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or InsuranceORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an Associate Degree) with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or InsuranceORHigh School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience in Claims Handling or InsurancePrior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field. Understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations.Prior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field. Understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations.Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licensesProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and productsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Commercial Auto Claims, including handling:Third-party auto property damage claimsAuto physical damage claimsBodily injury claimsActive adjuster licenseExperience collaborating across teams and developing strong relationshipsStrong knowledge of the claims adjustment process, including scope/exposure assessmentFamiliarity with vendor management and litigation strategiesProficiency in financial and actuarial/reserving conceptsStrong negotiation skills, including alternative approaches to resolutionExcellent organizational and time management skillsCustomer service experience with a focus on delivering quality interactionsAnalytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience.
