Overview2026 Summer College Internship Program for Sales Operations - Harbor FoodserviceThe Sales Operations Internship at Harbor Foodservice is a process improvement-focused role designed to support key operational and sales enablement initiatives across the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in business systems, onboarding strategy, warehouse operations, and category management. Interns will work both collaboratively and independently to document, organize, and improve core business processes. Primary focus areas include advancing the Harbor Sales Anchor Onboarding Program, building a structured online training manual for K360, supporting Standard Operating Procedure development across departments, and improving operational clarity. This role is designed to deliver measurable business outcomes while providing meaningful cross-functional experience.Harbor Foodservice Internships are onsite positions in Kent, WA for students with existing residence in the central Puget Sound region, WAEducation and Experience:Major in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics or directly related field preferredPrior internship or general business experience preferred but not requiredCompensation: $20/hourResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions (subject to change):Anchor Onboarding Process Development – 25%Support the continued buildout and organization of the Harbor Sales Anchor Onboarding programDocument current state of onboarding processes and identify gapsAssist in creating structured onboarding materials and training resourcesContribute to the development of training videos and supporting documentationDeliver a documented and organized onboarding framework for leadership reviewK360 Online Training Manual and SOP Development – 30%Develop a structured online training manual for Harbor's order entry platform, K360Create Standard Operating Procedures for key K360 functions, including pricing, banners, and other system componentsConsolidate and organize existing documentation from multiple contributors into a centralized knowledge resourceDeliver a complete, organized K360 training and SOP libraryWarehouse Credits and Returns SOP Development – 20%Partner with the Director of Warehouse to document internal credits and returns processesDevelop clear SOPs for drivers, driver check-in procedures, and internal sales team coordinationImprove clarity and consistency of internal operational workflowsDeliver documented internal credits and returns process guideCategory Management SOP Support – 15%Support Category Management team with documentation of recurring processesBuild SOPs to improve repeatability and clarity within the departmentAssist in organizing process documentation where administrative support currently does not existCross-Functional Engagement and Final Presentation – 10%Participate in informational interviews and cross-departmental exposure sessionsProvide regular project updates to leadershipPresent a final summary report outlining completed deliverables, process improvements identified, and recommendations for future enhancementsQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong interest in business process improvement and operational efficiencyClear and confident written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to document processes in a structured and logical formatComfort working independently and within cross-functional teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to learn proprietary company systems, including CRM and order entry platformsAnalytical mindset with ability to identify workflow gaps and recommend improvementsJ-18808-Ljbffr
