Senior IT EPIC Data Application Analyst
Summary
Our client is seeking an Epic Data Application Analyst to support its Digital Front Door + (DFD+) initiative by enabling a modern, cloud-based data and AI ecosystem. This role will focus on analyzing and transforming Epic EHR clinical and operational data into a high-quality, AI-ready data foundation that supports analytics, APIs, and advanced AI use cases across a multi-cloud environment (GCP and Microsoft Azure / Microsoft Fabric). The analyst will work closely with cloud data engineers and business stakeholders to validate data readiness, support product development, and accelerate delivery of scalable cloud data solutions.
Responsibilities
-Analyze and profile Epic Clarity and related Epic data sources.
-Translate clinical and business requirements into data analysis and extraction strategies.
-Design and execute complex SQL queries to support analytics and downstream use cases.
-Develop and maintain data mappings, business rules, and data lineage documentation.
-Prepare and validate datasets for cloud-based analytics, AI/ML, and application use.
-Conduct ad hoc analyses and clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Support discovery and validation of initial data products and recommend paths for scale.
-Manage multiple workstreams while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
-Strong experience with Epic EHR data, including Epic Clarity.
-Advanced SQL and healthcare data analysis expertise.
-Experience with data profiling, data mapping, and lineage.
-Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (GCP, Azure, Microsoft Fabric preferred).
-Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Education
Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years' experience.
OR
Associate's degree with six (6) years' experience.
