Class A CDL Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our Recycling team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of freight to designated locations. Responsibilities Safely operate and drive assigned trucks on designated routes. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and freight transported. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, including those specific to manual transmission vehicles. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, specifically with tractor-trailer configurations. Familiarity with route driving and navigating various road conditions. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively. Experience with flatbed, dump truck, or roll-off truck operations is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
