Environmental Specialist

What does this job entail?The Environmental Specialist will assist other environmental team members with field visits, data collection and reporting necessary to support a variety of environmental compliance needs for customers. The Environmental Specialist will be a champion of our company's core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.Some responsibilities include:Assisting senior Environmental team members with conducting wetland delineations and T&E species habitat assessments.Preparing requisite reports and associated maps.Assisting with the development and management of stormwater pollution prevention plans.Conducting weekly stormwater inspections and preparing inspection monitoring reports.Working under the direction of senior Environmental team members to gain an understanding of environmental and regulatory guidance on federal (USACE), state, and municipal laws to ensure compliance.Supporting team members with project permitting at the local, state, and federal level.Assisting with conducting limited soil sampling.Am I qualified for this position?Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Environmental Science or related fieldPrevious industry experience – preferred Familiarity with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act – preferred Previous experience in wetland delineations, identification of hydric soils and plant species, and ArcGIS suite – preferred May require occasional travel and overnight stays to various customer field sitesWhy work for Fenstermaker?Our success is based on establishing lasting partnerships and providing innovative, high-quality products and services.
