Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Warehouse & Shop Technician to support our operations in Schaumburg, IL. This role blends warehouse duties with shop based mechanical work. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and the desire to learn how to perform gas end overhauls on industrial compressor equipment (training provided). Responsibilities: <ul><li>Pick, package, and prepare customer equipment and parts orders for shipment.<li>Receive incoming shipments and verify materials and documentation.<li>Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy through organized stocking, labeling, and cycle counts.<li>Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and well organized.<li>Support restocking, material staging, and order fulfillment activities.<li>Use mechanical aptitude to assist in the maintenance, disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of compressor gas ends and related components (training provided).<li>Learn and perform gas end overhauls under supervision.<li>Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.<li>Assist senior technicians with mechanical work, rebuilds, and equipment preparation.<li>Support equipment staging, assembly tasks, and preparation for field deployment.</ul> Requirements: <ul><li>1+ year experience Warehouse or fast pace envrioment</ul> Core Competencies: <ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs routinely.<li>Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an orderly workspace.<li>Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).<li>Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move around industrial equipment in a shop environment.</ul> Preferences: <ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent<li>Experience in a warehouse, shop, or mechanical maintenance setting.<li>Forklift experience or certification (or willingness to be trained).<li>Previous exposure to industrial equipment, compressors, engines, or mechanical repair.<li>Technical diploma or trade certification in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance fields.</ul> Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This position will be based at our site in Schaumburg, IL no travel. Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
