Inventory Manager

Job Title: Inventory Manager Department: Supply Chain / Operations Reports To: Director of Supply Chain / Chief Operating Officer Employment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our electronics & mechanical inventory. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, managing logistics, mitigating the risks of component obsolescence, and ensuring a seamless flow of goods. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of supply chain operations within the technology sector, is highly proficient with inventory software like Fishbowl, and takes a proactive approach to loss prevention and process improvement.Responsibilities and DutiesPhysical Inventory & Organization: Receive, unpack, and catalog incoming electronic parts, ensuring they are accurately routed and stored within a well-maintained, organized, and ESD-compliant warehouse environment.System Management: Execute all inventory transactions—including receiving, orders, and returns—within Fishbowl and our ERP system to keep track of supply, maintaining real-time records to share with management and other stakeholders.Auditing & Quality Control: Perform routine quality checks on stored inventory, discarding goods that do not meet company standards or have become obsolete. Plan and lead the annual factory-wide physical inventory count with the team.Loss Prevention & Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and report inventory discrepancies (such as low counts) that indicate process failures or theft, and implement targeted loss prevention programs to maintain precise inventory levels.Process Improvement: Develop and continuously refine inventory management procedures. Establish and optimize pick procedures for work orders to streamline factory operations.Shipping & Logistics: Assist with the packaging and shipping of finished products and components. Arrange and coordinate outgoing shipments via LTL freight, UPS, and FedEx.Forecasting & Replenishment: Analyze sales data, market trends, and lead times to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage warehouse and inventory staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. (Certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are a strong plus).Experience: 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain operations, with supervisory experience. Prior experience in the electronics, consumer tech, or semiconductor manufacturing industry is highly preferred.Technical Proficiency: * Must have hands-on experience using Fishbowl or similar advanced ERP/WMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory tracking.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools.Logistics Expertise: Familiarity with arranging and managing shipping logistics, including LTL, UPS, and FedEx.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic component lifecycles, serial number tracking, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety protocols.Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to investigate discrepancies, identify supply chain bottlenecks, and implement effective, scalable loss-prevention and procedural solutions.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, shipping, and management teams.Salary range: $75K to $100K
