Job Description Job SummaryJackie’s Place Group Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide daily care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. DSPs play a critical role in helping residents maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.The ideal candidate is patient, caring, professional, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygieneSupport residents with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders/administration (as permitted by policy)Maintain a safe, clean, and positive living environmentMonitor and document residents’ behaviors, progress, and daily activities accurately and timelyTransport residents to appointments, community activities, and outings as neededEncourage independence, social interaction, and participation in community engagement activitiesFollow individualized care plans and behavioral support plansRespond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situationsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, families, healthcare providers, and team membersEnsure compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and confidentiality requirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in caregiving, healthcare, mental health, or group home settings preferred but not requiredCompassionate, dependable, and able to work with individuals with varying support needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to pass background check, drug screening, and any required state clearancesValid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferredCPR/First Aid certification preferred (training may be provided)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, assist, and transfer residents when necessaryAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftAbility to respond quickly in emergency situationsBenefitsFlexible schedulingPaid training opportunitiesSupportive team environmentOpportunities for advancementMeaningful and rewarding work experienceHow to ApplyApply online or submit your resume and contact information for consideration.
