Job Title: Business AnalystLocation : Houston, TXType: Full TimeOur Client is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Finance and Shared Services experience to join their team. This role will be instrumental in gathering requirements, designing processes, supporting system integration, and driving continuous improvement across Finance applications and transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with Finance stakeholders (Operations, Business Process Owners, Sysco Technology, Sales, Security, Compliance) to gather and document business requirements.Facilitate workshops to validate requirements, assess impacts, and shape future-state processes.Identify interdependencies across workstreams and ensure alignment.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Process Documentation & DesignCreate detailed documentation including process maps, BRDs, SOPs, test scenarios, and configuration specifications.Break down complex systems into manageable components to support change management.Document and communicate future-state procedures.Testing, Validation & System IntegrationLead and execute testing cycles across Finance Applications (Workday, SAP BPC, Microsoft BI).Validate data flow, integration, and system configuration for accuracy.Support UAT cycles and manage JIRA/ServiceNow tickets for defects, enhancements, and user stories.Contribute to transformation initiatives, prioritization, and road mapping.Reporting, Analytics & Continuous ImprovementPrepare weekly project updates, dashboards, and operational reports for leadership.Deliver monthly KPI metrics and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.Recommend enhancements to system configuration, workflows, and automation.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration.5–8 years of business analysis experience in Shared Services or Finance applications support.Strong knowledge of financial accounting, journal entries, month-end closing, general ledger, planning, and tax.Experience with medium/high complexity transformation projects.Hands-on expertise with Jira, ServiceNow, Workday, SAP BPC, Microsoft BI, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.SkillsStrong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Structured problem-solving and adaptability to ambiguity.Highly organized, proactive, and self-driven with strong initiative.Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
