We are hiring a Program Analyst to support a federal healthcare client in Long Beach, CA.Position OverviewA6 Scientific Corp. is seeking a thoughtful, analytical, and detail-oriented Program Analyst to support space management, planning, and capital project decision-making in a federal healthcare environment.This is not a general business analyst role. This position supports healthcare space planning, data analysis, project planning, and decision support for a large medical campus. The work may include analyzing data, supporting space surveys, helping plan moves and renovations, and turning facility needs into clear planning recommendations.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and supporting meaningful projects that directly impact Veterans' care.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis and ReportingResearch, collect, and organize data from internal systems and databasesAnalyze data to support planning, project decisions, and space management needsPrepare charts, summaries, reports, and presentation materialsSupport data modeling, statistical review, and reporting activitiesPresent information in a clear way for both technical and non-technical audiencesSpace Planning and Project SupportSupport space management surveys and campus planning activitiesHelp document how space is being used across the facilityAssist with move planning related to renovations, construction, or department requestsSupport project teams with planning documents, analysis products, and decision-support materialsHelp translate space and facility needs into structured project recommendationsCoordination and Team SupportAttend meetings and working sessions with internal teams and client stakeholdersSupport planning, activation, and project management teams with data and documentationReview assessments and recommendations for completeness and complianceMaintain organized records, trackers, and analysis filesWork closely with team members from different functional backgroundsMinimum QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following:Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Urban Planning, Geography, Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Analytics, or a related field; or8–10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, space management, facilities planning, or capital project supportIn addition, candidates should have:At least 2 years of experience in data analyticsAt least 1 year of project management or project coordination experienceRequired SkillsThe team must collectively support these areas, but strong candidates should bring experience in several of the following:SQL for data querying and extractionR, SAS, or similar analytical toolsMicrosoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookExperience with data analysis, reporting, and database workAbility to organize information and build clear decision-support materialsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and follow-throughPreferred QualificationsExperience in a healthcare, hospital, facilities, or federal environmentExperience with ArcGIS or other GIS toolsExperience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar design review toolsFamiliarity with space planning, facility planning, or capital project planningExperience presenting findings to leadership, stakeholders, or project teamsPMP, AICP, or similar certification is a plusWork Schedule and Work EnvironmentFull-timeOn-site in Long Beach, CaliforniaStandard schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMOvertime may be needed based on project needs and client approvalThis role is in a federal healthcare facility environmentNo remote or hybrid workImportant RequirementsTo meet contract requirements, candidates must be able to:Work fully on-site in Long Beach, CAPass required background screening before starting workComplete required onboarding steps for access to a VA facilityFollow client site policies, badge requirements, privacy rules, safety rules, and professional workplace standardsWork professionally with internal teams, client staff, and stakeholdersBenefits11 paid federal holidays per year80 hours combined accrued PTO and sick timeWellbeing allowance
