Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Night Crew Manager is responsible for leading all overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, merchandising, and store readiness for the next business day. This role focuses on productivity, accuracy, safety, and maintaining store standards while supervising the night crew team.Key Responsibilities Operations & ExecutionDirect and oversee all overnight stocking activities across departmentsEnsure shelves are fully stocked, faced, and presentation-ready by store openingExecute load breakdown, distribution, and stocking in an organized, efficient mannerMaintain backroom organization, cleanliness, and inventory flowEnsure proper product rotation (FIFO) and date code compliance Team LeadershipSupervise, train, and develop night crew associatesDelegate tasks and manage workload to meet productivity goalsMonitor performance and provide coaching and feedbackEnforce company policies, safety standards, and work proceduresPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and efficiency Inventory & AccuracyEnsure accurate stocking and product placementIdentify and correct inventory discrepanciesSupport inventory counts and scanning processes as neededMinimize shrink through proper handling and loss prevention practices Store Standards & ComplianceMaintain store cleanliness and organization throughout the shiftEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulationsAdhere to company merchandising standards and planogramsEnsure equipment is used properly and safely Safety & SecurityMaintain a safe working environment for all associatesEnsure adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelinesMonitor overnight store security procedures and protocols QualificationsPrevious retail or grocery experience preferredPrior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferredAbility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidaysStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment Key CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentTime management and productivity focusAttention to detail and executionProblem-solving and decision-makingAccountability and dependabilityAbout UsAlbertsons Companies is at the forefront of the revolution in retail. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).
