Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsRadiology Technologist Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Rad Tech for a full-time opportunity. As an X-Ray Tech on our team, you will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses/treatment and carefully perform procedures accurately and in a compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include: Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopicObtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicatedSelect proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patients and assist in administration of contrast mediaPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devicesDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patients and caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary suppliesQualifications: · Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school · Valid ARRT certification · Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment (100+/- lbs) For over 40 years, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital has been providing comprehensive healthcare services.
