Process Controls System Integrator / Programmer

Overview As a Process Controls Systems Integrator/Programmer, you will design, deploy, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to support projects from design through FAT, startup, and ongoing support. You’ll work across engineering, field teams, and QA to ensure robust control solutions and documentation. This role offers hands-on influence on automation projects in a hybrid office/field environment with travel. You’ll shape system configurations, cybersecurity measures, and programming standards that enable reliable, scalable operations. ResponsibilitiesDevelop, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systemsReview control system drawings, specifications, control narratives, and documentationConfigure industrial networks, telemetry systems, and communications infrastructureImplement cybersecurity measures for industrial control systemsParticipate in FAT, startup, commissioning, and field testing activitiesCreate and maintain operations, maintenance, and project documentationProvide operator training and technical supportAssist with equipment selection, procurement, and project executionSupport QA/QC processes, code reviews, version control, and as-built documentationDevelop and maintain programming standards, templates, and reusable librariesManage programming-related deliverables for assigned projects Key requirements5-10 years of experience in industrial controls programming, systems integration, automation, applications engineering, or control panel designExperience supporting projects through programming, FAT, startup, commissioning, and troubleshootingHands-on PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA programming experienceStrong understanding of industrial control systems and troubleshootingExperience with one or more PLC/SCADA platforms: Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider/Modicon, Omron/GE or similarproblem-solvingcommunicationteam collaborationPLC programmingHMI/SCADA programmingindustrial networks and communications
