TEL Staffing is hiring Helicopter Pilots for an employee-owned company, based out of Salem, VA, for both spray and utility operations. This company conducts a variety of operations ranging from forestry spraying to Firefighting/Charters. Ideal candidates range from newly certified commercial pilots to experienced longline/utility pilots. We offer both Contract (Experienced Pilots) and full-time year-round employment. Ag, HEMS, Fire.Powerline inspectionsPowerline constructionlongline experienceRequired skills/Abilities:Performing pre and post flight inspections of fuel, equipment, and navigational systems.Monitoring weather conditions and communicating with air traffic control during flights.Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft operation and safety.Determining the safest routes and analyzing flight plans prior to takeoff.Must have problem solving and organizational skills.Excellent communication and people skills.Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels and move items of 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.Active, valid Driver's License required.High school diploma, or GED required.Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA. regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start.
