Field Mechanic Job Opportunity in Rochester, NY

Talon Recruiting has partnered with a Heavy Equipment company. We are in search of a Field Mechanic to join their team in Rochester, NY. Ideal Fit: The ideal fit will have extensive knowledge of Crane, Forklift or Industrial Equipment maintenance. Essential Duties: *Read mechanical schematics and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting. *Read mechanical and machinist blueprints, and precision measuring instruments, then document findings on appropriate paperwork. *Perform mechanical and welding-type duties on an as-needed basis and meet all requirements such as welding specs, rigging, and assembling cranes. *Troubleshoot all sizes and types of cranes and mechanically determine problems and take corrective action. *Work independently with little or no supervision. *Provide Service Manager with accurate and complete information on mechanical machinery in order to install/replace/order replacement parts. *Operate machinery in the shop and the field as needed such as saw, fork truck, cherry picker, high lift, torch welder, transit. *Work in extreme conditions such as height, dirt, noise, vibration, nuclear Environment, and temperature. *Perform all assignments according to established procedures, guidelines and with recognized electrical codes.
