All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator to set up and run brake presses to bend, form, and straighten sheet metal and structural parts to blueprint specifications.What you'll do:Set up and operate CNC press brake equipmentRead blueprints and job travelers to produce parts to specSelect and install correct tooling and diesAdjust machine settings and stops for repeat production runsInspect parts using calibrated measuring toolsPerform basic machine maintenance and keep work area cleanWork closely with quality to ensure accurate partsWhat we're looking for:Ability to read prints and use measuring tools (required)Press brake experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidateAttention to detail and ability to self-check work qualitySchedule:1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-FridayPosition RequirementsClass A Operator: Qualified to perform complex jobs with 3 or more non-typical bends and or set ups.Class B Operator: Skill level medium range, able to perform two or more non-typical bends in different setups.Knowledge/SkillsAbility to follow instructions verbal and or writtenAbility to program, setup and operate machines in a safe and responsible mannerMaintains accurate and complete records.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand for an 8-10 hour shift.Lifting capabilities 15-20 lbs repeatedly with maximum lifting of 50 lbs.Range of Motion: Bending, walking, reachingSafety glasses with side shield while on the production floorEducation and or ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent and 1 year sheet metal fabrication experience- Class B OperatorClass A Operator- 3 years experience sheet metal fabricationFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-TimeShiftVarious ShiftsPositionPress Brake OperatorLocationMetal WorksAbout the OrganizationAbout Us:Metal Works Inc. has been in operation since 1985.
