Performance ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate working knowledge of attendance laws, policies and procedures.Insure compliance by attendance clerks and other school personnel.Assist schools in formulating attendance intervention plans for students and their families.Investigate reports of non-attending or excessively absent students.Intervene through conferences, home visits, etc. to improve student attendance.Refer educational neglect and truancy allegations to appropriate authority. Represent the district at court hearings. Serve as resource to school personnel in developing attendance and dropout prevention strategies.
