Position Overview
As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Texas Roadhouse, you will take a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our Enterprise Engineering team, crafting a legendary and secure hybrid multi-cloud platform that scales with our rapid growth. You will lead initiatives to optimize performance, ensure continuity, and enhance efficiency through automation, setting the standard for DevOps practices across the organization. Your leadership will be instrumental in mentoring engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving innovation to support our expanding suite of applications.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions
Drive advanced container orchestration, scaling, and security practices across multiple cloud environments
Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise in DevOps methodologies, tools, and best practices
Architect and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, leveraging automation to reduce human intervention
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure solutions
Develop and enforce best practices for cloud-native technologies, cybersecurity, and microservices architectures
Lead infrastructure assessments, audits, and optimizations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans
Provide Level 3 support, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and ensuring timely resolution
Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) practices, driving consistency and efficiency across the team
Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and automated infrastructure solutions

Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred: Advanced certifications in Microsoft Stack, Azure, VMware, or related technologies
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, with a strong focus on cloud platforms and DevOps practices
Extensive experience with cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, and Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with advanced security practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks
Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and continuously improving skills and practices
Experience working in agile, lean, and DevOps delivery environments, driving the adoption of best practices
