9th Grade Science Teacher

In the role of Upper School Physics & Engineering Teacher, you will:Teach three sections of 9th grade Physics and Engineering Principles and one section of Physics for junior and senior students. Serve as an Advisor for a group of 8-10 students and monitor and support their progress. At times, advocating for a student and communicating with their parents/caregivers will be necessary.Collaborate with other knowledgeable science educators in the design and implementation of curriculum informed by brain-based learning.Demonstrated experience teaching physics and a strong understanding of physics concepts are essential. Experience with student-centered learning approaches, including modeling, is highly desirableWork closely with the other Physics teacher, the science department, and other school leaders, advancing opportunities for deeper learning across the curriculum.  QualificationsInterested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree. Previous teaching experience with the target age is also desired. A Master’s degree and independent school experience are preferred but not required.
