Quality Control Manager
Quality Control Manager - Federal ConstructionWe are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee quality assurance and control processes on federal construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work complies with contract requirements, federal regulations, and industry standards. The QC Manager will lead quality initiatives, coordinate inspections, and work closely with project teams to maintain the highest level of construction quality and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan in accordance with federal requirementsServe as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with government representativesConduct and coordinate daily quality control inspections and document resultsEnsure all construction activities comply with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable codesManage the Three-Phase Control Process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections)Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and material compliance documentationTrack and resolve deficiencies, non-conformance reports, and corrective actionsMaintain accurate and complete QC documentation, including daily reports and test resultsCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project staff to ensure quality standards are metSupport project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspectionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in construction quality control, with federal project experience requiredCurrent certification in USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) for ContractorsStrong knowledge of federal construction standards, EM 385-1-1, and applicable building codesExperience managing QC processes on government projects (e.g., DoD, USACE, VA, GSA)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractsStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsPreferred SkillsExperience on large-scale federal or military construction projectsAdditional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, LEED, PMP)Familiarity with RMS/QCS systems and federal reporting requirementsProven ability to lead inspections and interface with government QA representativesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunities to work on high-profile federal construction projectsCareer growth and professional development supportCollaborative and safety-focused work environmentApply online or send your resume to hannah.behrens@gogpac.com OR Call/Text (605)601-5546 for a confidential conversation.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
