Civil Engineering Intern

The Town of Andover Engineering Division is seeking a civil engineering student to assist with a variety of tasks related to municipal engineering and infrastructure projects.Responsibilities will include:* Pavement Inspection* Roadway condition assessments and documentation* Stormwater Management (MS4 Permit Compliance)* Outfall inspections and data collection* Construction Layout* Assisting with field layout for municipal construction projectsConstruction InspectionObservation and documentation of work related to:Utility installations, including water main replacementRoadway paving and reconstructionSidewalk repair and new sidewalk construction* Surveying* Assisting with field surveys and data collection* Drafting* Supporting preparation and updates of engineering drawings and recordsThis position provides hands-on experience with municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway paving, underground utilities, and pedestrian facilities.This is an ideal opportunity for a student enrolled in a civil engineering program to gain practical field experience, or for students considering a major in civil engineering to explore the profession.Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Duration: Internship extends through August 2021, with the possibility of part-time work continuing when school resumes.Salary: $23 per hour, depending on experienceWork Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMThe Town of Andover is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
