The organization manages large-scale healthcare financial operations and leverages emerging technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.About the OpportunityThe Sr. Manager – Financial Reporting oversees complex financial close processes and ensures GAAP compliance across healthcare revenue reporting.This role provides critical financial analysis, supports variance and trend reporting, and partners with finance leadership to reconcile actual results with budgets and forecasts. The position also leads initiatives involving AI, automation, Power BI, and advanced analytics to improve financial reporting, revenue cycle performance, and data governance.Responsibilities• Manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.• Ensure the accuracy and GAAP compliance of financial statements and schedules related to healthcare revenue.• Review general ledger activity to identify unusual trends, discrepancies, and potential financial risks.• Partner with FP&A and finance leadership to reconcile actual financial results with budgets and forecasts.• Conduct variance and trend analyses across income statement and balance sheet accounts.• Provide leadership with ad hoc financial reporting and analytical support.• Coordinate annual financial audits by preparing required documentation, schedules, and analyses.• Develop dashboards and advanced analytics to support financial and operational decision-making.• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and governance across financial and operational data sources.• Lead the implementation and adoption of Power BI and other business intelligence tools within the Controller’s Office.• Drive the adoption of AI technologies, including large language models, to enhance financial analytics and reporting.• Partner with stakeholders to integrate AI into business processes, including training, governance, and change management.• Collaborate with operational leaders and finance teams to improve reporting accuracy, data quality, and financial insights.• Mentor accounting and finance staff on financial reporting, analytics, and best practices.• Promote accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.• Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial reporting or accounting, including management-level experience.• Healthcare finance or accounting experience preferred.• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare accounting principles.• Proven experience managing complex financial close and reporting processes.• Experience developing dashboards, reporting infrastructure, and advanced financial analytics.• Proficiency with Power BI and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.• Knowledge of AI tools, automation technologies, and large language models.• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex healthcare environment.• CPA certification preferred.Pay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
