The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of insurance regulatory and compliance issues across the U.S. entities. This includes partnering with internal stakeholders on product development, filings, and regulatory strategy, as well as supporting interactions with state insurance regulators. The role also involves assisting with corporate governance, internal compliance initiatives, and monitoring legal and regulatory developments that impact the business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' legal experience in P&C insurance regulatory, compliance, or corporate law, and must be admitted and in good standing with the NY or CT Bar. Applicants for this role at the company should have a strong background in the P&C insurance industry, with experience in product filings, endorsements, and regulatory submissions. Familiarity with U.S. insurance regulatory frameworks and state DOI interaction is essential. The role requires a candidate with strong drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and effective communication with business stakeholders. While not mandatory, exposure to reinsurance or non-admitted markets, as well as international or cross-border experience, is considered a plus.
