Your New RolePay Range: $27.77 - $34.71/ hour; based on experience.Hours: Regular business hours, Monday - Friday.Location: This position requires regular on-site presence at our corporate office and clubs across the Jacksonville and St. Johns areas.ResponsibilitiesThe Risk & Safety Specialist supports Chuze-wide risk mitigation processes tied to compliance, internal policies, and loss prevention. You will support teams across assigned clubs to minimize financial, legal, and reputational risks, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, reducing employee risk while at work, and maintaining trust with members.Support safety and security across the region by maintaining accurate documentation, reviewing incident report data, and evaluating escalated member issuesManage security footage within the region by maintaining a secure database for archived videos, assisting clubs with video access and storageMaintain working knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures that affect business operations, including OSHA, ADA, and Public HealthFoster strong cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and stakeholders, bridging risk-related communication and processes from the Home Office to the field teamsCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliance with fire and burglar regulatory requirements and own the maintenance of alarm passcodes for respective unitsAdminister workers' compensation processes, general liability, and property claims by gathering data, conducting investigations, and owning end-to-end communication in the claims processDevelop and maintain content for the Risk & Compliance communication calendarLiaise with law enforcement agencies to provide information to assist in investigations when necessaryYour Perks Free MAX Chuze Fitness membership + 1 Free membership for a family member or friendAccrued vacation, sick time, and paid floating holidays401kMedical, Dental, Vision, and other supplemental insurance (with large employer contribution)Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Discounts on all Chuze retail and Chuze Blends purchasesFree CPR/First Aid certificationChuzer Referral Incentive ProgramPersonal device stipend and company-provided technologyRequirementsYour Skills:High school graduate or equivalent2+ years of experience in safety, risk, compliance, loss prevention, or a related operational roleMust have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with regular ability to visit Chuze business units across the organization, subject to ADA accommodationsExperience operating security cameras and/or CCTV systemsStrong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365Organized, accountable, able prioritize goals independently with attention to detailEffective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the capacity to take initiative in investigating and resolving problems, using data to draw unbiased conclusionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present information and provide guidance and support to cross-functional managersCapacity to receive and deliver constructive feedbackPreferencesPrevious experience in the fitness industryPhysical AbilitiesRead, write, and speak clearly in EnglishWalking or climbing stairsBending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movementSitting or standing for extended periods of timePhone and computer operationsAbility to lift at least 50lbs
