Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Shop and Field)

Job Description VT Trucking is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support both shop or field operations. If you know yellow iron and can keep equipment running in real-world conditions, we want to talk to you. Whether you prefer working in a fully equipped shop or being out in the field keeping projects moving, we have a place for you.This is a full-time position offering weekly pay, overtime opportunities, and a strong benefits package.Position OptionsShop Mechanic (Based in Yard)Perform routine maintenance and major repairs in a shop environmentRebuild engines, transmissions, and componentsDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesWork on a variety of heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, and scrapersField Mechanic (CDL Required)Travel to job sites to diagnose and repair equipmentPerform on-site troubleshooting and emergency repairsKeep equipment operational to minimize downtimeWork independently in varying field conditionsWhat You'll DoInspect, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipmentWork on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrainsTroubleshoot and repair components including motors, transmissions, and differentialsComplete maintenance documentation per company standardsAssist with repairs on support equipment and trucks as neededWhat We're Looking ForExperience working on CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar heavy equipmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsExperience with hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systemsFamiliarity with CAT ET/SIS or similar diagnostic tools (preferred)Must have your own toolsOSHA 10 (or ability to obtain)Valid driver's license (CDL is required for field roles)Ability to pass a drug testAuthorized to work in the U.S.This is NOT a welding position – welding is not required.Pay: DOECompany DescriptionMoving MountainsFrom the Office to the Field; we are a professional team of Earth Movers since 1995.Company DescriptionMoving Mountains\r\nFrom the Office to the Field; we are a professional team of Earth Movers since 1995.
