DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist will:Demonstrate essential skill competencies in the delivery of patient care in an in-patient or out-patient setting, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.Use effective communications skills to facilitate exchange of ideas for quality patient care with patient/family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside community contacts.Be open to feedback and receptive to change as evidenced by feedback.Complete all necessary tasks and responsibilities that support daily operation of the department.Maintain competency by participating in professional growth and development and internal/external educational activities.Act in accordance with the Standards of Conduct and Ethical Practice of AOTA, the Vermont Practice Act, and hospital and department policies.RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy programMaster's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (preferred)Current Vermont Occupational Therapist license in good standingCertified OT by the American Occupational Therapy BoardBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare ProvidersDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment techniquesProficient English verbal and written skillsWorking knowledge of medical terminologyBasic computer knowledgeProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $36.00 - $43.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position.
