System Administrator (Virtualization)
Overview
In this role you ensure reliable IT system operations within a defense-focused environment, specializing in virtualization and Windows administration. You will collaborate with the team to support deployment, training, and issue resolution across deployed sites. You help maintain infrastructure, monitor systems, and drive second-level problem resolution, contributing to secure and mission-driven IT services. This position offers a chance to work on virtualization platforms with a government-clearance context and a strong emphasis on team and process excellence.
ResponsibilitiesTrain local technicians on course deployment and site readinessManage IT system infrastructure and associated processesProvide day-to-day IT systems support, monitoring, and problem resolutionPerform second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolutionSupport the dispatch system and hardware issues and participate in the resolution process
Key requirementsActive TS/SCI with POLYGRAPHMaster's degree with 6 years of experience, Bachelor's degree with 8 years, Associate's with 10 years, or High School Grad with 12 years of experience in System AdministrationOne of the DoD 8570 IAT-2 level certifications: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCEDExperience configuring and deploying various virtualization technologiesStrong Windows system administration skills and experience providing Tier 1–3 help desk supportVMware technologies (vSphere 6.x, ESXi, or vCenter)Virtualization technologiesWindows system administrationVMware (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter)Networking (Cisco/Brocade)
