This is an opportunity to join a collaborative mobile engineering team working on applications that integrate with backend systems, IoT technologies, and Bluetooth connected devices.Role SummaryThe Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Application Engineer to develop and enhance mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms. This role will have a strong focus on Kotlin development, with the team moving toward Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform as its cross platform development strategy.You will work within a dedicated mobile application team to build customer facing features that improve engagement, onboarding, communication, and retention. The engineer will collaborate closely with mobile and backend developers, product teams, marketing partners, and other stakeholders while contributing to the broader mobile application roadmap.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain mobile application features across iOS and Android platformsBuild mobile solutions using Kotlin while contributing to the adoption of Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose MultiplatformDevelop customer engagement capabilities including push notifications, registration, onboarding, personalized experiences, and in app messagingIntegrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, IoT technologies, and Bluetooth connected devicesCollaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable mobile featuresTroubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainabilityParticipate in code reviews and contribute to mobile architecture, engineering standards, and development best practicesMaintain application compatibility and functionality as new mobile operating system versions are releasedKey Requirements5+ years of professional mobile application development experience across Android and iOS environmentsStrong hands on Kotlin development experience and a solid understanding of modern mobile application developmentExperience with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform is highly preferred, although strong Kotlin engineers without direct Multiplatform experience will be consideredExperience with mobile architecture patterns including MVVM and Clean ArchitectureExperience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, JSON, backend services, and third party librariesExperience with Git version control and modern software development, testing, code review, and release practicesExperience integrating mobile applications with IoT or Bluetooth Low Energy connected devices is preferredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, with strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, and ownership skillsApply TodayIf you are an experienced mobile engineer with strong Kotlin expertise and are interested in working with Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, connected devices, and customer facing mobile experiences, The Intersect Group would like to hear from you.
