This role focuses on building foundational numeracy, scientific inquiry skills, and critical thinking at an early elementary level.AMS teachers are collaborative, growth-minded professionals who believe all students can achieve at high levels.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student AchievementDeliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in 3rd grade math and science using AMS curriculum and instructional frameworks.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners at varying academic levels.Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.Foster curiosity, problem-solving, and foundational STEM skills through hands-on and inquiry-based learning.Collaboration & Professional DevelopmentParticipate in weekly professional development sessions and professional learning communities.Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to refine teaching practices.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.Family & Community EngagementCommunicate regularly with families regarding academic progress and student goals.Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong, positive relationships with families.Scholar Culture & SupportImplement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies to support student success.Establish a structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment.Support the social-emotional development of elementary students.Minimum QualificationsDemonstrate strong classroom management and elementary instructional skillsPass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardDemonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communitiesShow enthusiasm for data-driven instruction and student growthDemonstrate collaboration, flexibility, and a student-centered mindsetCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Salary Range: $44,770 – $50,550 (DOE)401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePerformance bonuses averaging $2,200 annually (up to $3,400)Stipends for after-school tutoring and extracurricular leadershipOngoing professional development and instructional coachingJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities!
