HVAC Technician
Ludlum Measurements Inc is seeking a qualified HVAC Technician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our facilities.Job Type: Full-Time, In-PersonJob Duties & Responsibilities: Install new HVAC units in commercial, industrial and other buildings as necessaryInstall ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systemsPerform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to ensure proper operationInspect and troubleshoot problems with existing HVAC unitsAssist in maintaining inventory for replacement parts and order replacementsComply with company and industry safety standardsPerforms other related duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skillsExtensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipmentAbility to safety use power and hand toolsAbility to use thermostats, pressure gauges and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systemsAbility to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systemsAbility to follow instructionsExcellent mechanical skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detail a mustEducation / Experience High school diploma or equivalent requiredVocational / technical school training or apprenticeship preferredAt least (2) one year of related work experience requiredEPA Section 608 Technician Certification preferredPhysical Requirements Physically able to work on HVAC unitsWill be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of yearProlonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling or climbing laddersMust be able to lift 50 pounds at a timeCompensation / Benefits Salary is dependent upon experienceHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysFlexible Spending AccountOpportunities for professional growth and developmentAbout Ludlum Measurements Ludlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
