EDI Application Developer
No C2C or 3rd partySYSTEMTEC is seeking a EDI Application Developer for a remote opportunity for candidates working EST hours. The Candidate will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise EDI applications within a complex distributed environment. This role focuses on application development, production support, troubleshooting, and system integration while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to ensure reliable and efficient business operations.Required Qualifications for the EDI Application Developer:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.6+ years of experience in application development, systems support, software testing, or a related technical discipline.Strong experience working in UNIX/Linux environments, including command-line tools and shell scripting.Proficiency developing applications using C/C++.Experience writing SQL queries and supporting relational database systems.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-tier distributed applications.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment.Preferred Skills/Experience of the EDI Application Developer:Experience developing applications with Python.Familiarity with enterprise EDI environments and ANSI X12 transaction standards.Experience integrating applications using APIs and authentication technologies such as LDAP.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.Experience with automated testing or AI-assisted development tools.Background supporting healthcare or other highly regulated industries.Responsibilities of the EDI Application Developer:Support, maintain, and enhance enterprise EDI applications and translation platforms.Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing application behavior, system logs, and database interactions.Develop and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts that support application processing.Collaborate with developers, support teams, and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues and implement system improvements.Participate in application testing, deployments, production support, and ongoing system enhancements.Document technical findings, troubleshooting activities, and system changes while helping ensure application stability and performance.Work Location: Remote (subject to future business needs).
