Mechanical Inspector - 2nd Shift
We are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join our 2nd shift in Santa Clara, CA.Mechanical Inspector Responsibilities:Review engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints to understand the required measurements, materials, and tolerancesEnsure parts are produced according to these blueprints and verify specificationsReceive and adhere to the Quality Plans provided by the quality engineers and examine material(s) or product(s) for surface defects or any flawsConduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that parts meet specifications and tolerancesCheck for defects such as cracks, burrs, or improper finishes that could affect the functionality of part or that may affect the customer's perception of the product valueApprove finished products, conduct visual and measurement tests, return products for re-work, confirm re-work materials for workmanship and, conformance to the quality planPerform corrective actions, internal audits, first article, in-process and final inspection on assembliesInitiate and complete all quality (Inspection) related records and documents with minimal supervisionPerform precision surface plate and CMM inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materialsConstruct complex inspection set-up(s) and perform required inspections (using set-up) to determine product acceptancePreferred Qualifications:High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalentExperience in a precision machine shop environmentAbility to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formPreferred Skills:Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometryFamiliarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plusExperience CMM Programming with Zeiss and Mitutoyo MCOSMOS is a plusPay:Competitive pay based on experienceEmployees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10Eligible for OvertimeBenefits:Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and VisionLife and Disability: Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Long Term Disability401K Retirement Plan (3% company match)About us:A Silicon Valley leader in manufacturing and assemblies, Calmax Technology, Inc. manufactures precision machined parts and provides turnkey assembly to Fortune 500 customers across technology, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical industries.
