Accounts Associate

Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan - a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.Core Essential Functions:Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the hotel.Maintain and run applicable reports for Finance.Prepare and post Journal entries.Perform collection efforts as necessary.Post payments received for A/R accounts or deposits for upcoming groups.Reply to credit card charge-back requests. Supply folio, registration card and copy of credit card imprint within the time allotted by the merchant.Make collection calls on all accounts over 30 days and log results.Attend weekly credit meeting with the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance to review the accounts receivable aging.
