Field Services Engineer Technical – Indianapolis, Indiana, United StatesOperational Field Engineer IThe Operational Technical Field Engineer I provides hands-on technical support for IT infrastructure across multiple sites in the U.S. This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational IT skills who wants to expand their experience in infrastructure support and gain exposure to operational technology (OT).ResponsibilitiesRespond to incidents and service requests, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.Install, configure, and maintain desktops, servers, network equipment, and telephony systems.Support onboarding by provisioning hardware, software, and user access.Maintain accurate IT asset records and documentation.Follow change management and compliance procedures.Assist with project planning and implementation.Monitor system performance and perform routine troubleshooting.Provide limited support for OT systems as needed.QualificationsAssociate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.2-3+ years of IT support experience.Experience supporting remote or field-based environments.Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, server environments, and networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP).Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Familiarity with IT service management tools is a plus.Additional InformationSite-based role with 35–50% travel throughout the U.S. occasional chance to travel internationally.Opportunity to work closely with a remote team and develop technical skills in both IT and OT environments.Hybrid when not traveling.
