Quality Engineer

ONLY PERMANENT RESIDENTS(USC)Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Austin, TX (on-site)Duration: 12+ months contractKey Responsibilities:Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform functional, regression, integration, and performance testingIdentify, track, and manage defects through resolutionTest and validate applications on Ubuntu-based systemsWrite shell scripts for test automation and environment setupValidate applications and workflows within VDI and remote desktop environmentsEnsure connectivity, performance, and user experience across virtual desktop sessionsSupport creation and maintenance of virtual infrastructure for test environmentsProvide quality metrics and status reports to stakeholdersCollaborate with development and infrastructure teams throughout the SDLCRequired Skills and Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / QAHands-on experience with Ubuntu/Linux systems and command-line operationsStrong understanding of VDI technologies (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop) and remote desktop protocols (RDP, PCoIP, HDX)Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and processesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
