The selected candidate will lead portions of very large and complex projects as a telecom scope owner, working in conjunction with other telecom design and support staff, while collectively producing challenging design packages.Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmThis position can work remotelyResponsibilitiesHelp lead the design of everything from Outside Plant (OSP) to inter / intra-building backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedulesLeverage AutoCAD, SmartPlant and Revit MEP design software to create fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplinesComplete all facets of design and calculations in accordance with the NEC, applicable TIA and other industry standardsInterface directly with our client counterparts to design facilities to meet their needsQualifications2 or 4 year Technical Degree5+ years experience in telecommunications design and constructionStrong structured cabling design backgroundExperience leading a telecommunications design teamExperience editing design and construction specificationsExperience estimating and scheduling design efforts for large multi-building projects with multiple phases and design packagesExperience with start-up and commissioning of telecommunications systemsExperience with Bluebeam and NavisworksKnowledge of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standardsKnowledge of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) design practicesKnowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements
