Jr. Database Developer

About the Role Prime Communications is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Database Developer & Business Analyst to join our growing team in Sugar Land, TX. This combined role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering and business insight — someone who can build and maintain robust database solutions while also translating business needs into actionable reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities Database Development Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, views, and queries across MySQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake environments Build and support automated data pipelines that feed into retail performance dashboards and reporting tools Assist in debugging and optimizing existing database objects and ETL processes Participate in data modeling and schema design discussions Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across multiple database platforms Business Analysis Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions Develop and maintain performance dashboards and scheduled reports using SQL-based tooling Analyze data discrepancies and support root cause analysis for reporting issues Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field OR equivalent certification from a reputable developer program (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Snowflake, IBM, Google, or similar industry-recognized certifications) Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in MySQL and/or SQL Server Familiarity with Snowflake or cloud-based data warehouse concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders High attention to detail and a self-starter mentality Preferred Qualifications Experience with Excel reporting tools and dashboard development Exposure to retail, telecom, or sales operations data environments Familiarity with ETL concepts and pipeline orchestration Experience working with multi-source data environments (e.g., MySQL + SQL Server + Snowflake) Knowledge of version control (Git) or scripting with batch/PowerShell Technologies You'll Work With Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake Languages: SQL, T-SQL AI & LLM Tools: Experience working with AI language models (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to support data analysis and business workflows Tools: Excel-based dashboards, HTML email automation, stored procedure-driven reports What We Offer A collaborative, fast-paced environment with exposure to enterprise-level data systems Hands-on experience across multiple database platforms from day one Opportunity to grow into a senior technical role within Sales Operations or Business Systems Competitive compensation commensurate with experience How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter outlining their relevant experience and certifications to: saqibkhan@primecomms.com Please include “Jr. Database Developer & Business Analyst – Application” in the subject line Requirements: About the Role Prime Communications is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Database Developer & Business Analyst to join our growing team in Sugar Land, TX.
