Job SummaryThe Medical Office Assistant (MOA) – Chiropractic Department plays a vital role in supporting the daily clinical and administrative operations of Hamilton Health Center’s Chiropractic services. This position serves as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and staff by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.The MOA is responsible for assisting providers with patient care activities, preparing patients for chiropractic visits, maintaining accurate medical records, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and supporting continuity of care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.Benefits Offered: In addition to your base salary, you are also eligible to receive: Generous paid time offBirthday holiday and 7 paid holidaysMedical, Dental & Vision CoverageCompany-paid life insurance.Retirement Plan with matching opportunityEmployee Assistance Program Essential Functions Review provider schedules and prepare patient charts prior to appointments.Review Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using appropriate templates for patient preparation.Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints in the EMR.Prepare patients for chiropractic evaluations and treatments.Assist chiropractic providers during examinations and procedures as directed.Support patient flow to ensure timely and efficient clinical operations.Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits as needed.Verify patient demographic and insurance information accurately.Assist with obtaining outside records, imaging, laboratory results, or specialist documentation as needed for continuity of care.Educate patients regarding services, referrals, and follow-up instructions under provider direction.Track and communicate test or imaging results to appropriate parties when applicable.Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and reusable medical equipment according to department protocols.Ensure exam and treatment rooms are adequately stocked with medical and clinical supplies.Follow infection control, environmental safety, and OSHA protocols at all times.Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.Comply with Hamilton Health Center policies, clinical procedures, and Joint Commission standards.Assist student employees or new staff members as directed by management.Demonstrate familiarity with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and available HHC services.Support departmental operations and assist team members as needed.Perform other assigned job-related duties as required.Requirements:Healthcare Knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare services and medical terminology.Tech-Savvy: Proficient in basic data entry and computer skills.Strong Interpersonal Skills: Capable of communicating courteously and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Team Player: Possesses a diligent and cooperative attitude that fosters positive working relationships with clinic management, physicians, clinicians, and the public.Education: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.Preferred Qualifications:Active CPR/First Aid certification One (1) year of working experience in a medical or physician office setting.
