Engineering Manager - Aerospace

Aerospace & Defense Engineering ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Aerospace & Defense Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced aerospace and defense systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering management and a solid understanding of aerospace and defense technologies, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage engineering teams in the development of aerospace and defense systems.Oversee the design and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards.Coordinate New Product Integration (NPI) efforts for new projects and products.Manage thermal management system designs and ensure effective thermal components are utilized.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for engineering projects.Facilitate collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution.Conduct testing and validation of aerospace components and systems to meet performance specifications.Utilize SolidWorks and CAD software for design and modeling of engineering projects.Implement program and project management principles to track progress and report on project status.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace and defense engineering roles.Proven experience in engineering management and leading technical teams.Strong knowledge of thermal management systems, antennas, and related components.Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, CNC machining, and metal processes such as brazing and finishing.Experience with AS9100 standards and regulatory compliance in the aerospace industry.Excellent program and project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.BenefitsCompetitive wages and friendly working conditions.Generous PTO policy with immediate accrual eligibility.Excellent health, dental, and vision options.Company paid short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance benefits, and employee assistance program.Annual profit share bonus opportunity.Paid holidays.Tuition reimbursement.401(k) opportunities.
