Diesel Mechanic (2nd Shift)

With a radiant heated garage, truck wash, and a space for your toolbox, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about keeping engines running smoothly while supporting a leading player in the food production industry.Position Overview:The Diesel Mechanic Technician will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair company vehicles, including box trucks and tractor trailers. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, using diagnostic tools, and ensuring compliance with state vehicle and DOT standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with diesel engines and emission systems, a dedication to safety, and the ability to perform the required tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Inspect and test company vehicles, box trucks, and tractor trailers.Diagnose and troubleshoot truck engine and emission systems.Use scanning tools for diagnostics and perform both minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.Comply with state and DOT vehicle standards by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion controls.Conduct preventive maintenance, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.Manage inventory for necessary parts and maintain vehicle service records.Perform all other related duties and assignments as needed.Qualifications:Multiple years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.Valid CDL A license required.CDL B and PA state inspection license plus.ASE Diesel Certification preferred.Knowledge of refrigeration systems (Thermo King, reverse, and cold plate refrigeration) is a plus.Military experience is welcome.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits packagePaid time off (PTO)Laundered uniforms
