Sr. Design Project Manager

Collaborate across internal business units to define and deliver Statements of Work (SOW), business proposals, project schedules, and manage financials. Provide strategic direction on deliverables and adapt to customer requirements.Ideal CandidatesHave industry experience in energy storage, power conversion, or data center infrastructure Are fluent in English and Chinese (preferred) Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management Performance Management:Goal-driven, action-focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined Strong project planning, organizing, communication, team motivation, and delegation skills Foster continuous feedback from business units, peers, and team members Coordinate and keep small teams focused, especially during crises Communication:Host weekly forums for project ideas, status updates, issue resolution, and change management Organize verbal and written communications with clear, business-appropriate style Present information effectively to management and/or customers Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or internal staff Maintain open channels with customer personnel, senior management, and project teams Business Strategy & Direction:Support business and contract negotiations Understand and align with division’s strategic direction Keep up-to-date with workcell strategy for technology services Provide regular strategy execution updates to business units Ensure products/services meet contractual requirements, delivered on time and within budget Conduct formal design reviews with customers Cost Management:Identify cost reduction opportunities by streamlining or re-engineering processes Monitor departmental costs and strive for ongoing improvement Provide feedback on cost trends to peers Project ManagementGather, understand, and translate all project technological requirements/objectives Identify and manage project key success indicators: scope, quality, time, and cost Conduct project risk reviews and apply mitigation strategies Facilitate project communication and manage stakeholder relationships Escalate issues to higher management when necessary Forecast project budgets and HR needs for current and future site requirements Own overall project success—cost, schedule, quality, and scope Ensure customer satisfaction and strong internal/external relationships Lead multi-functional teams to meet company and customer goals Handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately Adhere to safety, health, and company security policies Perform other duties as assigned Job QualificationsKnowledge & Skills Language:Read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Present information and respond to questions from varied audiences Mathematical:Understand probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry Handle fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions Model physical reality mathematically and implement results Reasoning:Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions Interpret technical instructions, manage abstract/concrete variables Develop and solve mathematical models Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field 8+ years’ experience, with a significant focus in product design Project management in product design: budget, schedule, risk mitigation within a Quality Management System Strategic direction for project deliverables per customer requirements Ability to work closely with global stakeholders, customers, senior management, and teams Additional QualificationsPMP Certification (preferred) Experience in agile or scrum environments Bi-lingual English and Chinese (strongly preferred as you will work closely with Taiwanese team) This job description is non-exhaustive and may evolve with business needs.
