Determine and manage optimal direct and indirect component inventory levels to support production schedules. Execute timely purchase orders with identified supply sources to ensure material availability to production plans and prevent stockouts. Achieve desired inventory and customer service levels in a hybrid MTO and MTS manufacturing planning environment.Key DeliverablesMaintain safe and injury-free workplaceIdentify, establish, and maintain material planning parametersEnsure material availability to production plansGenerate and maintain accurate purchase orders within ERPExpedite and follow-up on open purchase ordersMonitor and analyze Supplier performanceResolve quality issues with suppliersResolve supplier invoice discrepanciesGenerate cost savings ideas and completion of projectsKey Accountability MetricsEnvironment, Health, and Safety metricsCustomer Service (OTIF- On Time, In Full)Inventory Days of Supply (DSI)Inventory Excess and Obsolescence (E&O)Inventory StockoutSupplier On-Time DeliverySupplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) turnaround timeAged Open Purchase OrdersAged Unpaid Supplier InvoicesKey Responsibilities And Essential FunctionsWork closely with internal customers, which includes operations, production planning, customer service, quality, engineering, and salesDetermine and manage replenishment strategies in ERP systemPrepare and issue purchase orders in a timely manner to suppliersCoordinate and communicate effectively with suppliersTrack inbound supply to maintain accurate delivery dates in ERPTrack Supplier contract volumes and changes to terms and conditionsEngage with Procurement strategic sourcing on supplier performance issuesAnalyze inventory and supply issues for root causes and take corrective actions to resolvePromptly resolve supplier quality and invoice discrepanciesMaintain effective oversight and disposition of Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) inventoryEnsure accurate planning master data in ERP system to drive effective use of systems and tools for planningMaintain effective communications with all key stakeholdersIdentify opportunities for cost, process and supplier performance improvementsOther duties may be assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
