Tax Senior Manager
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance engagements for corporate and individual clients
Support cross-border tax matters and coordinate tax-related communication between Japan and the U.S.
Review tax returns, workpapers, and related deliverables prepared by staff members
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain ongoing client relationships
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to support tax and advisory projects
Identify tax planning opportunities and support advisory engagements, including tax due diligence and M&A-related projects
Lead business development activities by identifying new client opportunities and expanding relationships
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff and managers while ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met
Qualifications
CPA certification preferred
10+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably within public accounting
Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and individual taxation
Experience with international or cross-border tax matters preferred
Experience with tax due diligence, M&A transactions, or transaction advisory services is a strong plus
Demonstrated ability to lead business development initiatives and develop new client relationships preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead client engagements effectively
Business-level Japanese language proficiency required
