Information Systems Officer (Platform Solution Architect), P4 (Job Opening No. 276853)- Deadline to apply: 20 June 2026Job SummaryJoin the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) as an Information Systems Officer (Solution Architect) and play a leading role in shaping the enterprise integration and solution architecture landscape for one of the world’s largest international pension funds. UNJSPF administers benefits for more than 80,000 beneficiaries across 190 countries and serves over 150,000 participants across 25 member organizations worldwide.This position is located in the Enterprise Applications Section (EAS) within the Information Management Systems Service (IMSS) of UNJSPF Pension Administration. The Information Systems Officer reports directly to the Chief of Section and serves as a senior technical authority for enterprise integration architecture and solution design across the Fund’s application and data ecosystem.The incumbent is responsible for leading end-to-end integration architecture across pension administration platforms, ERP systems, ITSM/HR services, and cloud-based enterprise solutions. The role provides technical leadership, architectural governance, and design authority across complex, multi-organization environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions aligned with the Fund’s target architecture and digital strategy.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:• Serve as the lead Solution Architect for enterprise integrations across pension administration, ERP, ITSM, and cloud platforms.• Design end-to-end integration architectures between UNJSPF and member organizations, ensuring alignment with target-state architecture and domain models.• Define and oversee integration patterns using MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and event-driven architectures.• Develop API-led connectivity frameworks, canonical data models, and reusable integration assets across enterprise systems.• Lead solution design for integration layers across ERP, HR, payroll, ITSM, and pension administration platforms.• Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, auditability, and observability across all integration solutions.• Establish and maintain enterprise integration standards, API governance frameworks, and reference architectures.• Contribute to or chair architecture review boards, ensuring compliance with enterprise design principles and technical standards.• Provide technical leadership and design authority across complex initiatives, including non-functional requirements and architecture approvals.• Mentor and guide integration engineers, developers, and technical consultants, including reviewing designs and implementation outputs.• Collaborate with member organizations, vendors, and internal stakeholders on integration onboarding, SLAs, and technical alignment.• Support vendor evaluation, budget planning, and technology roadmap development for integration platforms.• Champion adoption of AI-enabled tools and agentic workflows to enhance software development lifecycle efficiency and quality.• Contribute to strategic technical documentation, architecture roadmaps, and enterprise integration strategy papers.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsWe ask that the following criteria be addressed in your application:• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.• A first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect in complex, multi-cloud, SaaS enterprise environments is required.• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations using MuleSoft and/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including API-led connectivity and canonical data models, is required.• Strong experience designing integrations with Oracle Cloud (ERP/HCM/Payroll) and ServiceNow in large-scale enterprise or public sector environments is required.• Experience integrating pension administration, payroll, or core financial systems (e.g., Vitech V3, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms) is desirable.• Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and agentic workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, MCP-based agents, or equivalent) in architecture, development, or operations is desirable.• Strong understanding of enterprise integration governance, API management, and scalable architecture design principles is required.Benefits• Opportunity to lead enterprise integration architecture for a global pension fund with mission-critical systems.• Work in a diverse, multicultural environment representing over 40 nationalities across multiple duty stations.• Exposure to large-scale multi-cloud, SaaS, and enterprise transformation initiatives.• Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid remote options subject to operational requirements.• Competitive UN benefits package including defined benefit pension, health insurance, parental leave, and up to six weeks of annual leave.
